Reading a paragraph in the book "Mindset" by Carol S. Dweck, I thought about the importance of having a vivid vision in order to be enthusiastic about what you do, what you will get, where you will arrive.
"Many growth-minded people didn't even plan to go to the top. They got there as a result of doing what they love. It's ironic: The top is where the fixed-mindset people hunger to be, but it's where many growth-minded people arrive as a by-product of their enthusiasm for what they do.
Many leaders of organizations are aware that they need to share visions of the organization with their people. Their people are longing for those clear, vivid visions, in order to be able to feel enthusiastic about what they do.
It is not about just the number they want to achieve. Visions need to be something people can see, smell, hear, and taste in a sense, in order to be the real source of pure motivation.
I am learning good stuff everyday. Lucky me.
